BUYING TICKETS

What does it mean if a show is AT RUSH?
A show is AT RUSH when all advance tickets have sold out. Rush tickets may be available just before showtime, and sometimes as part of the daily Noon Ticket Release. A rush line will form outside the venue 30-60 minutes before the screening starts. Once all ticket and pass holders are seated, any empty seats will be sold on a first-come first-served basis to those in the rush line, one ticket per person waiting in line at the time of admission. Rush tickets are not available at BAMPFA.

I'm having trouble logging into my account.

  • SFFILM Members: You can log in with a username or email and password, or with your Member Number and last name. Make sure to click the gray box at the top of the login screen to choose which set of credentials you prefer to use.
  • Non-Members: You will be instructed to create an account at checkout, if you have not already. Returning customers can log in during checkout by entering their username or email and password.

I have a membership in my shopping cart but there is no option to purchase tickets at the member discount.
Complete the membership purchase before adding additional items to your shopping cart. Completing the membership purchase will activate the member benefits on your record, including benefit ticket packages and member discounts.

I just purchased a membership but do not see the member and/or ticket package price options.
Log out and log back into your account. This will refresh the web browser and update your record with any changes.

I'm logged in as a member, but there is no option to purchase tickets at the member rate.
Confirm that you are using the correct member number and that your membership has not expired. Log out and back into your record. If problems persist, use the chat tool in the bottom right corner to contact us.

How do I get the tickets I bought?
When completing your order, you will be able to select one of the following delivery methods for your tickets:

  • WILL CALL: If you choose Will Call, your tickets will be held at the venue box office for pickup at the first screening in your order. The box office opens an hour before the first showtime of the day at that venue.
  • PRINT AT HOME: If you choose Print at Home, PDF tickets are attached to your order confirmation email. You can print out paper tickets and bring them to the screening, or you can present e-tickets on a mobile device at the theater.
  • STANDARD MAIL: If you choose Standard Mail, your tickets will be mailed to you at the shipping address you enter during the checkout process. Please allow 7 to 10 business days for processing mail orders.

Can I pick up ALL of my tickets at Will Call?

  • If you purchased your tickets on a single order (i.e. in the same transaction), all of your tickets will be available for pick up at the venue and on the day of the first screening in your order. Will call is printed by day, venue, and order.
  • If you purchased your tickets on multiple orders (i.e. separate transactions), then each separate order will be available for pick up at the venue and on the day of the first screening in the order. If you would like multiple orders bundled together for pick up, contact the box office at boxoffice@sffilm.org

How do I access e-tickets or view my order history?

  • Confirmation Email: If you chose "Print at Home" tickets, you can present e-tickets on a mobile device for admission. Open the "MobileTickets" file attached to your confirmation email and show it to the person scanning tickets at the theater.
  • Online: You can log in to your account to view your order history or to get your e-tickets.
    • Click the shopping cart icon in the upper right corner of this page
    • Then click the gear-shaped Settings icon in the upper right of the new window that opens.
    • Click where it says LOG IN and use either your username / email and password or your member number and last name to log in.
    • Click the Settings icon again, and "Mobile Tickets" to find your e-tickets.
    • You can present these on your mobile device to the person scanning tickets at the theater.

Can I transfer my tickets to someone else?
Tickets are fully transferable:

  • Tickets in hand can be handed off to another person for use.
  • To give someone else your PRINT AT HOME tickets, forward them the order confirmation email. They may use the tickets attached in PDF form for admission.
  • For tickets being held at WILL CALL, email the box office at boxoffice@sffilm.org with the name of the person you are authorizing to pick up the tickets instead of you. The tickets will then be held under that person's name at will call.

I can't find my confirmation email.
Check your Junk/Spam folder for an email from boxoffice@sffilm.org. If you find it there, please mark as Not Junk and add us to your address book. If you still can't find it, sign into your SFFILM account and click on the "My Orders" tab to access your recent orders.
