Description

We asked BIG RONNIE, the star of THE GREASY STRANGLER, to tell you a few words about his upcoming debut at the San Francisco International Film Festival:

I’M BIG RONNIE
YEAH, THAT BIG RONNIE!
I’M INVITING YOU TO AN EXCLUSIVE SCREENING
IS IT EXCLUSIVE? HEY. YEAH IT KINDA IS..!
WILL MY CLOSE PERSONAL FRIEND JOHN TRAVOLTA BE ATTENDING?
WILL LUXURIOUSLY EXTRAVAGANT CREME COCKTAILS BE SERVED?
YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT.
YOUR THROAT WILL BE LUBRICATED, TRUST ME.
THE LINING OF YOUR THROAT WILL BE SLATHERED IN CREAMY LIQUID, TRUST ME. GREAT CREAMY SHOTS OF “THE GOOD STUFF.”
WILL FANTASTICALLY GREASY HOT DOGS BE SERVED?
WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK??
HOT DOGS IN THE THEATER AUDITORIUM?
OH YEAH. I’M NOT KEEPING THAT A SECRET! OR AM I?
YOU PROBABLY THINK I’M THE GREASY STRANGLER!
BYE BYE.

A man runs a walking disco tour with his browbeaten son. Meanwhile, a slimy, inhuman maniac stalks the streets of their town. See the film The Daily Beast’s Jen Yamato called the best film of Sundance, “the entry that woke audiences up by waterboarding them with a metaphorical vat of maniacal, putrid grease.” San Francisco, let’s get greasy!

Director Jim Hosking

Jim Hosking started directing promos and commercials at MTV in New York in 2000. His 2010 short film, Renegades, premiered at Sundance. His 2012 short film, Crabs, premiered at the London Short Film Festival. He contributed the “G for Grandad” segment to ABCs of Death 2 in 2014. He directed his own script, The Greasy Strangler, which premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film festival. He has a number of other scripts in development, too. Trust me. I know. Because I am Jim.
