Industry Accreditation


SFFILM is accepting requests for accreditation for the 2017 San Francisco International Film Festival (April 5–19) from film industry professionals and representatives of media arts organizations whose activities may directly benefit the films and filmmakers in the Festival. Accreditation provides a variety of benefits including access to screenings, events, and the Festival Lounge.

There are two types of accreditation available:

Industry Accreditation is reserved for professionals from acquisitions, sales, distribution, and exhibition organizations. Availability is limited. There is a maximum of two Industry badges per organization. The fee is $75. Benefits include:

  • Admission to the Festival Lounge
  • Admission to happy hours and other events at the Lounge 
  • Invitation to the Golden Gate Awards
  • Ticket purchases at the discounted SFFILM member rate 
  • Complimentary tickets to Festival screenings (up to 3 per day, available 1 day in advance, subject to availability)

Community Accreditation is intended for film/media professionals from acquisitions, sales, distribution, and exhibition organizations. The fee is $40. Benefits include:

  • Admission to the Festival Lounge
  • Admission to happy hours and other events at the Festival Lounge
  • Invitation to the Golden Gate Awards
  • Ticket purchases at the discounted SFFILM member rate

Application for accreditation is open through March 24. Applications submitted after this deadline will be subject to a $25 late fee.

If your application is approved, you will be contacted by the Industry Office to process your application fee. Accreditation in all categories is granted at the sole discretion of SFFILM; badges are name-specific and non-transferable.
